Me Simon Oliva

Me Simon Oliva has been a lawyer at Fiset Legal since 2016, after having also completed his internship within the law firm.

Me Oliva holds a Bachelor in Civil Law from the University of Montreal and a Bachelor in Business Administration from HEC Montreal.

Me Oliva has a solid experience in civil litigation, having represented clients before the Court of Quebec, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, the Rental Board and before arbitration tribunals, particularly under the Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings. He acts both as representative of Plaintiffs and Defendant.

Me Oliva is regularly called to intervene in real estate and construction law files. He has developed a specialized practice in the field of hidden defects. Furthermore, he assists co-owners and co-ownership syndicates in general meetings and advises them on all facets of co-ownership law.

Having at heart the best interest of his clients, Me Oliva favors a cost-benefit approach according to the particular context of each of his mandates and favors the use of methods of prevention and dispute resolution. During his practice, Me Oliva has built a close relationship of trust with his clients.

Me Oliva is involved in his community, including his participation in legal clinics such as the Salon Visez Droit, as well as conference presentations and texts writing accessible online in collaboration with non-profit organizations in the field of co-ownership.
